Our Goal & Obinson's Goal:
Our immediate goal is to raise $200,000 in funds to help rebuild Macombre Christian Academy. It doesn't stop there! We are establishing a relationship with the community of Macombre to sustain a long term program & continue to provide hope to Haiti. There will be opportunities for us to travel into Haiti to help with the rebuilding process. If you are interested in a mission trip to Macombre, more information will be available on the website soon!
Obinson's current goals are to use the tents donated to finish the 09-10 school year,and in the mean time start rebuilding the school. His immediate needs are:
*Funds
*Construction supplies
*To get Haitians back to work
Your contribution provides jobs to masons, block makers, day laborers, painters, carpenters, metal workers, cooks, food sellers, and other micro-businesses in the community that currently have no income. Once the school is finished, MCA (Macombre Christian Academy) will employ teachers and workers for their eight hundred students and facility. When we partner with this small rural community, we know that a positive impact will occur and hope for the entire Macombre region will increase. If after the initial goal is met, and support continues to be received, then rebuilding water sources, houses, a medical clinic, and small businesses would become a realization. In other words, help a whole town get back on their feet and face the future with dignity with their heads held high.
